History of the Disease
The
girl has been submitted to the general hematology
department of Children's City Hospital № 1 for
inspection with the suspicion of hypothrombocytopenic
purpura and complaints on expressed hemorrhages
syndrome.
In August 2005 the girl has had an intestinal infection.
She was diagnosed with salmonellosis. Antibacterial
therapy was given, including a 7 days treatment with
levomicetin. Results were positive: the intestinal
syndrome had stopped, the temperature - normalized.
At the end of November 2005 the girl had suffered from
the acute viral infection and high temperature.
From the beginning of December 2005 the signs of the
increasing dermato-haemorrhages syndrome started to
appear. Blood analysis revealed moderate anemia,
subthrombocytopenia and reduction in white blood cells.
On the reception to the hospital the girl’s condition
was poor due to severe hemorrhages syndrome: hemorrhages
on mucous with the necrotic zones, an abundance of
bruises mainly on the feet, plural rash. Peripheral
lymph nodes were not increased, liver (-), spleen (-).
The breathing was easy, without rattles, heart beat
clear and rhythmical, pulse 82 per minute.
